Judging Process

The awards entry process is a thorough one and potential winners must make it through three stages in order to make it to the finals. Entrants must submit written information to show why they should win, a video recording of themselves in action and if they are chosen as a Finalist they are then mystery shopped.

Facilities must undertake an independent assessment scoring them on a range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as an independently audited Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey of their member/client perceptions. More information on NPS can be found here.

Live Assessment
Finalists in the Personal Trainer, Up and Coming Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, Small Group Trainer and Student categories must also attend a live judging session where they were put through their paces to see how they perform with clients under pressure.  The 2017 Stage 2 to Finalist judging criteria will be available soon.

What if a judge knows one of the entrants?
In the event of any conflict of interest involving applications and judges, this is declared to the judging panel and that judge abstains from making decisions related to that particular application.
